NoCodeLab.ai turns one this week. We know exactly how fortunate and how hard-won that is.
What Survival Actually Looks Like
Sara founded NoCodeLab.ai a year ago on a single belief: that anyone can build, given the right tools and the right support. There was no guarantee it would work. There rarely is.
In the twelve months since, 2,500+ professionals across five countries have come through our programmes, built real products, and changed the trajectory of their businesses. By July 2025, the team had grown. New partnerships followed: universities, accelerators, enterprise clients, and international programmes across Italy, Spain, and the UAE. CPD accreditation. A Lovable Venture Partnership, sitting alongside Y Combinator.
None of it was inevitable. Hard work, focus, and deep knowledge of our craft were non-negotiable. But so was this: we built NoCodeLab.ai using the same tools and mindset we teach. AI did not replace our effort. It multiplied it.
"I started NoCodeLab.ai because I believed the barrier between having an idea and building it was artificial. A year in, over 2,500 builders have proven me right. We are only just getting started - my goal in Year 2 is to support 10,000 non-technical people to create and deploy really useful digital solutions using AI assisted coding." Sara Simeone, Founder and Chief Builder, NoCodeLab.ai
The Real Reason We Made It
A year ago, the tools available to a bootstrapped founder were fundamentally different to what exists today. The gap between having an idea and being able to execute it, build it, test it, take it to market, required either significant capital or significant technical expertise. Most founders had neither. Many still believe that is the case.
It is not.
The founders who came through NoCodeLab.ai accelerator programmes did not wait for a development team or a funding round. They built what they needed themselves.
Zahra Bhatti built a fully functioning product for under £500. Brian Lancaster built NFC-powered asset tracking tools to manage enterprise-level live events at Glastonbury and Silverstone. Davide Pagnotta turned six years of consulting into a SaaS platform. Lavinia Osbourne shipped six products in ninety days.
These are not exceptional cases reserved for people with technical backgrounds. These are professionals who learned to use AI and no-code tools to do what previously required entire teams, and then went and did it.
What This Means For Your Startup
A number of the Big Five regularly tell us that the rapid advancement of generative AI presents a significant opportunity for startups and scaleups to grow at speed with limited upfront investment and reduced ongoing costs. The founders who understand this and act on it are operating in a categorically different way to those who do not.
The distance between a startup and a scaleup has never been shorter. But closing that gap requires knowing which tools to use, how to use them, and how to build the kind of operational foundation that lets a small team move like a much larger one.
That is exactly what we teach.
"When I joined NoCodeLab.ai in July, what struck me was not just what we were teaching but how we were operating. A small team, moving fast, building smart. That is the proof of concept. Now we help other founders do the same." Deborah Cleary, Co-Founder and Director of Growth, NoCodeLab.ai
This Friday, We Are Celebrating
On Friday, the NoCodeLab.ai community comes together for our First Birthday Bash, a live online event with builder stories, a Year 2 reveal, and a look at what is coming next.
If you are a founder still figuring out where AI fits into your business, this is a good place to start. If you are already building, come and celebrate with a community that understands exactly what it took to get here.
Drop BIRTHDAY in the comments and we will send you the details.
Year 2 Starts Now
We did not just survive Year 1. We built something worth celebrating, and so did the builders we worked with.
The question for Year 2 is not whether AI will transform how startups are built and scaled. That is already happening. The question is whether your business will be on the right side of that shift.
We can help you make sure it is.
NoCodeLab.ai, from Zero to 2,500 Builders. This is just the beginning.
